The final boss phases were great and kept things interesting because, like you said, the setting of the fight was in a more open area and not confined to a small bland arena. Saix was the one member who felt just as imposing as in the previous game they were a boss fight in. They were also smart enough to have Terranort be just knocked out when defeated so his scen only played at the end of the fight. Saix's fight was the one that did the cutscenes right the whole fight through. The battle grinding to a halt whenever a member was defeated really broke the flow of the fights for me. I found the Organization battles in the last world to be disappointing. I know many of the villains from the included worlds weren't strong, but they could have used the power of darkness made them stronger like Scar from KH2. The Disney world boss fights were great, though I wish they could have had more Disney villain fights. That's the game's fault, yes, but, again, it DOES offer at least one tool to help make it a bit more challenging for those who seek it. It's just that currently vanilla KHIII without No Exp doesn't really force you to take advantage of most of the tricks & doesn't really force you to play strategically & methodically. The game isn't shallow by any means when it comes to combat & enemy design. It's not like most combat-enhancing abilities are tied to levels, so you would've had (almost) all the same tools but just with less health, strenght & such. Like, if you'd done that 2-3 worlds into the game, you would've been far more vulnerable a world or two afterwards, which would've forced you to take advantage of defensive abilities & play more strategically as far as resource management & timing of certain abilities goes. It's not a separate difficulty level and it's not quite the same as a well balanced/designed hard mode, but it still exists and you could've taken advantage of it at some point during your playthrough when you started to notice maybe the default difficulty is on the easy side.
